Donald C. Eversley's legal experience is concentrated in the fields of areas of contracts, intellectual property, public/private partnerships, not-for-profit organizations and economic development.
Donald Eversley's legal career has included tours as Corporate Attorney for Consolidated Edison Co. Inc., General Counsel for the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and private practice as a business and entertainment attorney. He has also held numerous executive posts in of economic development, city planning, affordable housing, construction and capital project finance.
Donald Eversley has provided counsel to a wide range of early stage entrepreneurs in apparel, food, branded products and communications. Arts and entertainment clients have included recording and performing artists, composers, producers, personal managers, production and publishing companies, television & film talent, nonprofit arts organizations, fine & commercial artists, writers, and journalists.
Public/private partnerships have been a major part of Eversley’s government legal experience and he drafted the basic operating agreements between New York City and the major City-owned cultural institutions and between the Board of Education and its Charter Schools. Donald Eversley was also a member of New York University’s outside counsel team for litigation related to the construction of the NYU Langone Medical Center.
In the international arena, Donald Eversley has worked on contract, intellectual property and economic development matters for both private clients and government agencies in Haiti, Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago. Notable among them are Production Cheval de Feu, Caribbean Interactive Multimedia, Ltd., Crossfire Ventures, Acute Vision Design Group, the Barbados National Cultural Foundation, the Tourism & Industrial Development Company of Trinidad & Tobago, and the Entertainment Industry Development and Export Company (Trinidad).
Donald Eversley received a bachelor’s degree from Brown University, his Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and is admitted to the practice of law in New York State.
